Glenmoor by the sea policies


Thank you for booking with us. By completing your reservation, you have agreed to the following policies.

Room Rates:
All rates are per room, per night, double occupancy, and are subject to Maine lodging tax (currently 9%).

Additional Adults and Children:
All rates are based on double occupancy.
There is an additional fee of $15.00 for each additional person. Children under 12 stay free in parents' room where occupancy allows. Accommodations booked must match and fit the family size as seen on our website.

Cancellations and Modifications:
Cancel anytime up to 2-weeks prior to your arrival and receive a full deposit refund minus a $25 administrative fee (the $25 fee is per room/cottage), no questions asked.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of your arrival, shorten your stay or check-out early, you will be responsible for your entire reservation. However, we will refund the charge if we can re-book your room(s).

Reservations made through third-party sites (expedia, booking.com, tripadvisor, etc.) and not directly with us at glenmoorbythesea.com or by phone with us at 207-236-7905 are mostly non-refundable and subject to their own cancellation policies. Please refer to them for details.

Special deposit/cancellation policies may be in effect for the Blues Festival (July), Lobster Festival (August), Harbor & Boats Show (August), Holiday Weekends, Suite Rooms, and Multiple Night or Group Reservations. If you make a reservation online that involves any of these particulars we will contact you to discuss the specific requirements.
Special events require 50% deposit and 30 day cancellation notice.

Check-In/Check Out:
Check-In time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. We cannot accommodate check-ins prior to 3:00 p.m at this time. Upon your arrival, please park in a spot outside of the The Lobby building. *Please note, room and cottage doors automatically lock behind you, so keep your key with you at all times.

Letting us know your arrival time in advance, will help us greet you at check-in We are available to answer questions you might have by calling the hotel (207) 236-7905. The Lobby closes at 9:00 p.m. If you will be arriving after 9:00 p.m. please let us know in advance so that we can share our late check in procedure.

Check-out time is by 11:00 a.m. We ask that you drop off your keys at the lobby. A final receipt can be emailed to you.

Payments:
An advance deposit of your first night including tax will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking.
Remaining balances will be charged to your card on file on the day of arrival. We accept MasterCard, VISA, AMEX, and Discover. Please note that all published and/or quoted room rates are subject to Maine State Sales Tax (currently 9%).

Dog Friendly Policy:
While we do have some dog-friendly rooms, all bookings must be made through the hotel directly via phone. Not all accommodations are dog-friendly and a $30 per night, per dog fee will apply. Failure to book directly with the hotel may result in cancellation of your reservation. Additionally, the following pet policies are in place:
Dogs must be domestically trained and on a leash at all times.
We allow up to two dogs per dog-friendly room.
Dogs up to a 80 pounds capacity are welcome.
Should any damage or additional cleaning be required after your stay, those costs will be charged to you accordingly.
We ask that you clean up after your dog waste. For that purpose, we have pet bag stations located throughout the property. Our staff can direct you as to where they are located.
For the safety and comfort of all of our guests, we ask that you please keep your dog on a leash at all times.
Dogs should not be left unattended. They will miss you, and after all, it's their vacation too!

Daily Housekeeping:
We maintain the practice of thoroughly cleaning all guest rooms using hospital-grade disinfectants and sanitizers, per CDC guidelines. Our staff will not enter your room during your stay to provide daily housekeeping, unless we receive a request for housekeeping needs or maintenance concerns. All linens for your stay will be provided prior to check-in. Extra linens and any amenities will be provided upon request.

Complimentary Breakfast:
Breakfast is delivered to your room between the hours of 7am and 9am. As always, we pride ourselves on offering a breakfast that is beyond your standard continental breakfast. Please place your basket back outside by 11:00 a.m.

Guests:
Only registered guests are allowed. If you would like to have visitors while on property, please contact the front desk.

Pool:
Please refer to the full pool policies posted at the entrance. Pool towels are provided at The Lobby and will be yours for the duration of your stay. If you require new towels, please bring the old towels back to The Lobby for an exchange.

Gift Cards:
Gift Cards are non-refundable, do not expire and are transferable. Promotional Gift Cards expire five years from the date of purchase. Gift cards are managed online and bookable through our website in addition to on the phone and/or through email.

Non-Smoking Property:
We are a non-smoking property and that includes smoking of any kind. Cost for the repair of any damages or additional cleaning requirements will be charged to the guest accordingly. This includes labor and any loss of room revenue due to room damage by smoking.
